Boat America Class (formerly known as "About Boating Safely")

United States Coast Guard Auxiliary - Watts Bar Lake Flotilla is pleased to offer an in-person Boat America Class.

Conducted in a classroom setting by trained, boating-certified Coast Guard Auxiliarists, you will learn how to prepare, operate and navigate your boat safely on local waters.  Questions are encouraged during class and the instructors are available before and after class for additional boating discussion.  The class is conducted over two days in 4-hour evening sessions.   The class fee includes instructional materials that will be provided at the start of the class.  A test at the end will demonstrated your mastery of boating safety.   Students needing the Tennessee Boater Education Certificate (boaters born after Jan 1 1989) will take the required TN test.
