The K-25 Atomic History Center proudly announces the opening of a new temporary exhibit, Enriching Uranium, Empowering America: How Oak Ridge Shaped the Atomic Era—and Is Powering the Next, presented in partnership with Orano USA.
This new addition highlights Oak Ridge’s groundbreaking contributions to uranium enrichment—from the wartime innovations of the Manhattan Project to the region’s ongoing leadership in clean energy and nuclear advancement.
To celebrate, the K-25 History Center will host a joint ribbon cutting ceremony with the Oak Ridge Chamber of Commerce and the Roane Alliance on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the K-25 Atomic History Center, located at 652 Enrichment Street, Oak Ridge, TN.
Visitors will enjoy brief remarks, light refreshments, and the first look at this compelling new exhibit, which adds fresh perspective to the center’s mission of preserving and interpreting one of America’s most important industrial, scientific, and military achievements.
